>> My name
is Neville Baker. I am a retired director of a large earthmoving construction
company Earth Movers Waikato Ltd.
I purchased my first jet boat in 1963; propelled by the second ever Colorado
junior jet unit, sold in the North Island. Since then, I have owned
nine boats, averaging seven metres in length. For a number of years
now I have followed KwikKraft's design and finish. As far as I am concerned,
his alloy finish is unrivalled!
A few years ago, I commissioned KwikKraft Marine; to build a twenty
four foot Offshore Series vessel; a petrol engined vessel.
- The rough water handling and safe feel of the boat was fantastic!
- The design allowed ample area for fishing and diving.
- Many people have inquired, is the boat fibreglass? Of course, it wasn’t.
The finish KwikKraft is able to achieve is very high standard!
I wanted improved fuel efficiency and needed much more versatility.
So, I have ordered my 10th vessel; KwikKraft is to construct me a KWIKKRAFT
series Offshore.
Including the following features:
- Length & Design – 7m – Hard Top.
- Powered by a 260 horse power Steyr diesel engine.
- Propelled by the bigger Hamilton 213 Jet unit with turbo impeller.
- Fully customised to my preferences.
This is the wonderful thing about dealing with KwikKraft, I am able to
sit down with them and customise the vessel. They are passionate about
the performance, safety andfinish of their creations!
Have a yarn with KwikKraft. At the very least – test drive an Offshore.
You too will be very pleased with the safe handling & performance
of this craft!

>> Anglers lodge is situated on the
Coromandel Peninsula in some of New Zealand’s most spectacular scenery
and inshore fishing. During 2004 we decided that our charter boat was
overdue for replacement. However, trying to buy an “off the rack”
boat, which would suit our water taxi and charter fishing operation proved
an impossible task. After considerable research and discussion, KwikKraft
was chosen as the manufacturer of our replacement vessel.
KwikKraft’s ability to produce a durable, well handling, custom
built boat was the determining factor in our decision.
During the build, they tolerated our unscheduled and thorough
visits (aka inspections) and made us feel very welcome and part of the
build process.
Our water taxi service for land based game fishing dictates a full walk
around hull, which was not in the KwikKraft line of product. However true
to form and KwikKraft’s claim of custom craft, the one off build
is now complete. The new hull is able to efficiently carry out rock-based
landings, which more than meets the demanding hull strength requirements.
The end result is definitely a durable product, even to the extent of
being affectionately defined as “built like a tank” during
one of the boat tests carried out by a popular fishing magazine.
A large uncluttered cockpit area was also necessary to accommodate our
charter fishing. Our clients are comfortably accommodated and our fishing
charters are now conducted in a spacious and well-organised environment.

>> I use
my KwikKraft Offshore 5.9 to fish the West Coast. I have found it to be
extremely strong, roomy and comfortable sea boat. It is soft riding and
predictable, crew comments on how safe they feel, the Offshore design
providing an extremely stable platform. I believe my boat to be a 'state
of the art' alloy craft with superb standards of finish usually only seen
on glass boats - a credit to designer and builder.

>> After recently
returning from London I was in the market for a purpose built aluminium
trailer boat I could use with the sole intention of getting back into
Gamefishing. I was seeking a number of essential requirements in a boat
that would get me out to the fishing grounds in unpredictable weather
and back safely. First and foremost I was looking for an exceptional hull,
large uncluttered cockpit as well as protection from the elements. I spent
a good number of months searching a wealth of quality boats in this country
and finally found the Offshore 6.9 HardTop by KwikKraft. This boat has
exceeded every expectation I had and the quality of workmanship is second
to none. It has performed faultless in every condition I have encountered
from Raglan to Whangaroa.

>> I have tested my new 5.7 KwikKraft
jetboat fitted with a 400 Chev and two stage Scott. It has exceptional
handling qualities, surefooted in the turns with no skipping and bucking,
and a nice soft ride through rough water, combined with a good low planing
speed. I have not been in a better family jet boat in my 20 years of
jetboating/racing.

>> I have
been fortunate to test two of KwikKraft's vessels so far; in fact we
had an exclusive first test of the second of these.
Everything is functional, well thought out and beautifully
constructed. They are also open to ideas and improvements. The mark
of a good boat builder is that he listens to sound, constructive criticism
and you see it incorporated into future projects.
So far I have yet to hear a bad word said of KwikKraft by
either suppliers or customers. They are clearly held in regard by their
peers and happy customers sell boats.
I look forward to the opportunity to test further products from KwikKraft.

About: KwikKraft Marine
Over the past thirty years I have owned six jet boats, all popular brands.
KwikKraft have built my two latest hulls for me; a 17ft 3"
and a 20 footer - my current hull.
These are the reasons I own a KwikKraft
A. "Horsepower for Horsepower" - My KwikKraft out-performed all others.
B. "In Rough Conditions" - My KwikKraft gives a way better ride.
C. "Wetted Area" - My KwikKraft rides higher and is more efficient.
D. "Safety" - My KwikKraft has higher sides... I ordered it that way!
E. My KwikKraft is super stable in 'big mother' rapids.
F. My KwikKraft go's exactly where I steer it.
G. My KwikKraft is simply built stronger than the others.
H. I even let my girlfriend drive it - fast!!**
I. "Workmanship" - My KwikKraft has superior finish. I should know -
I'm the fussiest bastard on this planet!
If you want to talk to me about owning one of these awesome boats - I
don't mind if you call me - anytime ... I tell it- exactly how it is!!
